Required food in a sorority tank

In general, a sorority is where different species can survive together; betta sorority is also gaining fame. But several questions arise, i.e., are female betta sorority okay to set up? Do these betta fish bear each other? What kind of food is required in such sorority tanks?

These questions may come to the mind of a person who wants to arrange sorority setups for betta fish. Some people only care a little about their betta fish diet; their only purpose is to purchase a betta fish to make them their pet, without knowing certain things about it. Hence, the chances of deteriorating the health of betta fish increase at a fast rate.

Carnivorous

The best food a person can give to its betta fish is carnivorous food. Betta fish are mainly dependent on carnivores to satisfy their hunger. These tiny fishes eat a lot, even though they love to eat, but their eating pattern may change in stressful situations.

Carnivorous food should not be picked straight from nature; instead, it can be bought from a well-known fish supplier. Nature-picked carnivorous food may cause several infections in betta fish.

Adding new tank partners for betta fish may also affect their food cycle, so this should take care of. Feeding betta fish with a protein-rich food is necessary for their health and survival. Live foodstuff is vital for the health of a betta fish.

A balanced way is always preferred for feeding betta fish. Although betta fish happily eats a lot, overfeeding them can strangle them to death, as their stomach is as tiny as their eyes. So, for feeding a betta fish, it is better to adopt a balanced way, i.e., not more or not less food.

Frozen food

A good option for feeding betta fish in a sorority tank is frozen food when the availability of live food is difficult. Frozen food can be a good choice, but feeding your betta fish with frozen food should be avoided repeatedly. Some excellent options include Mysis shrimp, Cyclops, bloodworms, etc.

Mysis shrimp

A protein-rich food is vital for betta fish, and Mysis shrimp is a good source of protein and nutrients. This frozen food is ideal for the diet of an average betta fish. This should use twice a month, depending on the food requirement of betta fish. Excessive usage of Mysis shrimp can cause blockage of the digestive system in betta fish.

Cyclops

Feeding betta fish with tiny crustaceans, i.e., Cyclops is also suitable. These keep floating in the water tank until betta fish eats these Cyclops. This frozen food is ideally recommended for young betta fish because these tiny Cyclops are easy to eat for these tiny aquatics. Moreover, adult betta fish also loves to have these Cyclops.

Bloodworms

Betta fish loves to have Bloodworms. Bloodworms are ideal frozen food for betta fish as they contain proteins. Betta fish can eat these three or four times a week, depending on their hunger.

Betta fish can gain weight by eating bloodworms which helps betta fish recover from infections. Bloodworms are also suitable when betta fish is not likely to eat anything.

So, creating a female betta sorority tank comes with all these aspects. Information regarding their water requirements, favorite food type, and how many female bettas in a 20 gallon tank can survive together.
